Mark Wahlberg.😊
2:48 You can just make out Thunderbolt saying 'Oh, no.' Very subtle acting from Eastwood.
It’s just as heartbreaking every time I watch it. 😢 When Paul Williams’s great song comes on, and the credits roll, I mourn Lightfoot every time. Brilliant film.
What a great ending to a movie. Jeff Bridges did a good job... he has every right to be proud of himself!!!
Baja
The main sc...mb@g in the film is their father. Ideal Hitlerite, Stalinist, communist, Polpotist, totalitarian, fascist, Nazi, and so on. Who hides behind his “righteousness” in order to manipulate children. "I don't need a gun to be human!" That's right, cowardly b@st@rd! You’d better write a denunciation against your son or your neighbor’s son in order to be a “respected member of society.”
やっと金を手に入れたのに・・・このラスト、切なかったよな😢
The most underrated and amazing movie of early 70s when men were men and women were women...Clint and Jeff killed it in this Movie...one of my favs..😊
ABSOLUTELY agree on all points-thank you
Stroke?
この曲はPaul Williamsですか?
『Midnight Cowboy』に並ぶ名ラストシーン。
But this was not the end of Lightfoot. After Thunderbolt left his body, Lightfoot woke back up and started calling himself "The Dude", and took on a bowling and cannabis habit.
My dad stopped his best friend from potentially killing someone in a bar brawl after seeing this film, this last scene in particular…..
Remember this move back wen I was 15 2005 on ifc
Great American film from a golden era.
Gary Busey was in this??? They misspelled his name as GAREY.
Never loved the design of the 1973 Eldorado. Not the front corners or the egg crate grille.
Interesting how Thunderbolt drives off to the lyric "where does a fool go?"
Many good scenes in this film, my favorite is Ted and Geoff in the little ice cream truck and Ted tells the kid to go f*ck a duck and Geoff sticks his tongue out at the kid lol
One of the 1970s endings that made ya cry.
I saw part of this movie at a drive in theater years ago. I slept through most of it. The only part I remember is when George Kennedy told some kid to go f*** a duck.
My Dad ❤ this movie 🎥 he’s 85 yrs old, Anna big fan of Clint Eastwood.
I cried. 😢♥️
One of my all time favorites ❤
"Ride?" "Where you headed?" "See what's over the next mountain."
Hated George Kennedy after this movie felt herart struck after Jeff Bridges passed away
彼の出演する映画は薄っぺらいフィクションではなくリアル。 クリント・イーストウッドの生き様を半世紀近く見続け学んでいる。
This is the film when I first saw Jeff Bridges. Not in the theatres, but on TV in 1978. I was 11 then and did not fully understand it. Now I`m 56 and still impressed.
I lost a friend in February. After several months of stress he finally started having a better time. Then just died in his sleep. Heart disease
1:08 Keep your eyes on the road Clint. You're going to drift into the guard rail.
Surprised I've never seen this before. I've seen all of his other movies at least 2 or 3 times.
First time I saw this I was so surprised. Such a heartbreaking ending to such a great buddy film. Jeff Bridges should’ve gotten the Oscar he was nominated for
They just can’t make films like this anymore
suffered a stroke didnt he?
This is a forgotten classic. Deserves to be more widely known. Man the 70s were stacked full of great movies.
What a great job of acting by Jeff Bridges. Do you think the writer is trying to tell us something here?
How did he die exactly?
Red Leary Jack Kennedy kicked the living poop out of him . Internal bleeding.
jeff bridges death performance is outstanding. he definetly destroyed clint eastwood. i think it s the film that skyrocketed his career as a a newborn newbie actor. i always cried for his death by watching this scene
Someone know what is the name from the music track and band at the end? 🙏🏼 Ah now i found it ua-cam.com/video/E1QJOWslt34/v-deo.html ♡ love this song 😄
There are definitely some plot flaws in this movie. However, the characters are compelling, the action good, some humor thrown in, and good chemistry between the leads. Thunderbolt should have realized Lightfoot was having health issues from Red's beating. He should have taken him to a hospital, but that may have involved police they didn't want. Anyway, the ending shown here is a meaningful but sad ending to a good story.
one of the best films ..Clint Eastwood.......a road movie,,,Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.😔
Great movie!👍
Did Sasha kill reuben on accident in the end?
Yes.
Great movie. Think it was Jeff Bridges' best role before the Dude!
I know Edward furlong was messed up by heroin and hasn’t worked for a long time but they really need him back working he made Hollywood an absolute fortune, someone should of helped him, goes too show what Hollywood is
Child actor syndrome.
Both this and "Silent Running" brought me close to tears at the end. And I think it's no coincidence that Michael Cimino had a hand in writing both those 70s screenplays.
I dont get it, why lightfoot died. He didn't get any shot.
Best movie ever filmed.
YES
Ab-suh-fuckin-lutely!!!
I'm 51 former Marine. I watched this movie when I was a kid with my dad. RIP. I specifically looked up the end of this movie. And I knew it was going to hit me hard with snot and tears. It's magnificent!
Eastwood never looked as devastated in any of his films as he did in this scene. Too real…
@@AbeTheSigma007 Eastwood plays military vets in several roles. In actuality, he hated his stint in the army. He avoided going to Korea by becoming the lifeguard at Fort Ord Army Base. The guy always with a gun in his hand in the movies. Just shows you how actors can fake it
@@michaelconnor5378 The best part is the fact that in nearly every “Dirty Harry” film, the villain or villains are all Vietnam Veterans. Be well…
